Bill Wieger at White Shark Conservation Trust
It brings us great pleasure to introduce you to Bill Wieger and his awesome artwork.
BIOGRAPHY:
Bill Wieger creates some of the most spectacular and realistic marine art in the world!
He was born Dec. 25 in Louisville, Kentucky. From that moment on, he lived the tumultuous life of a military child. Bill started creating at a very young age and it became apparent that he was destined to be an artist.
Bill was heavily influenced by such films as Jaws, Star Wars and Alien which intensified his love and passion for science and nature. Starting college towards a marine biology degree, Bill decided to switch majors and pursue art as his career. With an interest in special effects he taught himself to sculpt. After graduating with a BS in Theatre Arts, he moved to Los Angeles to begin a career in special make-up effects and production design. For the past decade, he has focused on commercial, public and private commissions back in Kentucky.
Bill’s great love of marine and wildlife now compels him to use his talents toward educating on conservation “to help save all species on this tiny planet we call home.”
WHITE SHARK STATEMENT (Bill Wieger):
What ever has been written about the Great White Shark can not compare to actually seeing one in the wild! Their size, grace and power cannot be explained in words, photos, or film. To see how massive they are is inspiring and makes you realize how insignificant humans really are in the big picture. You can see the intelligence in their eyes as they move past you, looking from diver to diver. It’s very easy to see that they are inquisitive and constantly assessing their surroundings. They look at you as if they could care less about you or what you are. If God does exist, this is as close to God as I have ever been in my life. White Sharks and all marine life must be respected for what they are and the role they plan on this tiny planet. WE need to protect them with the utmost urgency for if they are allowed to perish, WE will surely follow.
Bill has fantastic white shark sculptures and artwork that can be purchased via us with 15% of the cost being donated to the White Shark Conservation Trust to aid the continued research.
